Hi, I’m Michelle

I am the owner of The Lunga Collection and I am so happy you are here! I am an engineer by degree, a wife and mom, and an entrepreneur at heart. I grew up in a suburb of Chicago, IL and have moved around the past 12 years to Wisconsin (Go Marquette!), Tennessee, Minnesota and now back home in Illinois. I have always had a passion for travel, culture, and food. I may or may not have almost quit engineering junior year to go to culinary school. I ended up finishing my Mechanical Engineering degree and taking up cooking as a hobby. 

The inspiration for my products stems from watching my grandma cook and bake throughout my childhood. She was always in the kitchen and loved sharing her baked goods and food with family and friends. She would even give her hairdresser and mailman a cookie tin of homemade Christmas cookies! I love to cook, entertain, and travel and I think these loves came from the rich history of my family. Each item in The Lunga Collection has a history and a culture it belongs to, which is so fascinating to me! I invite you to travel the world…with your taste buds!
